40 years of experience

I am an illustrator/designer/art director with over 40 years of experience in illustration and design. My career has spanned retail, advertising, book illustration and design, logo and character development, packaging design, 

editorial illustration, and children's book development and illustration.  I hold of a MFA degree from the University of Hartford.

I view every project from its own unique set of parameters whether it is the design and layout of an ad for a corporation to the illustration and design of a children’s book. I believe my experience in client interaction, presentation, and client relations combined with my ability to articulate through design and illustration make me an asset in any design situation. 

I was employed earlier in my career for Mervyn's Department Store as a staff product illustrator, Breuners Home Furnishings as their chief illustrator, and Fisher Graphics as an art director and then production manager.

As a freelance illustrator/designer by clients have included Schoolwide, Association of Christian Schools, Simon and Schuster, APass Education, Skyhorse Publishing, Middle River Publishing, Northrup King Gardening Books, Good Morning Teacher Publishing, Fantasy Magazine, Neely Publishing, San Francisco SPCA, Lake Educational Books, Saddleback Books, Charlesbridge Publishing, Quercus Publishing, Panthera Press, Liturgical Publications, Game and Fish Magazine, Simple Guides Publications, Santa Monica Pictures, and more. 

I am adept with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign as well as traditional media, including watercolor, acrylics, pen and ink, colored pencil, oils and mixed media. I also have experience in art directing, setting up photo shoots, and production management.  My CV is available upon request.
